A pictorial line is a concept of photography, which has strategies that can be utilized to make better photos. Three strategies are shown here, which are: an arrangement of lines, lines pointing to a subject, and decorative lines. An arrangement is when lines are the only subject of the photo, and make up the entirety of the photo. Without these lines, the photo would have nothing in it. Another concept is lines leading, or pointing to the subject. The lines aren't the subject, they just lead the viewer to the subject of the photo. The last concept is decorative lines, which is when lines decorate the photo. The lines aren't the subject, they don't even necessarily have to be on the subject, they just must be present to make the photo look more interesting.
