To make these photos, I composing two long exposure photos on top of each other. Some photos I turned black and white, and others I created in color. In some of these photos, one of the photos in color, and the other black and white. I tried to create both abstract and more straightforward photos. I also compiled some of these photos with a gritty texture to make the constant sections of the photos look more interesting.

Light Painting
These photos are another off-shoot of long-exposure photography. The camera is held still as another person holding a light creates shapes and patterns by moving their light in a dark space. Most of these photos are also double exposure photos with two different light paintings composed on top of each other. I also added some textures in the editing process on some of these photos to give depth and a gritty feel. I was going for a tone of mystery and abstraction.

Double Exposure
These photos are created by composing two photos on top of each other. I took photos from all units that we have done so far in this class. Some photos I turned black and white, and others I left in color. I made this decision based on whichever looked better to me. Black and white usually made the photos look more cohesive, but color makes the photos look less flat. Some photos are more abstract, while some try to make a more understandable scene. I also compiled some of these photos with a gritty texture to make the constant sections of the photos look more interesting.

Reflections
For this batch of photos, I took pictures of the reflections I saw in the world. I wanted to capture the world on both sides of the glass in, and out of frame. I used a black and white filter to capture a consistent apocalyptic mood. Some photos in my set are abstract, while others are more straightforward. However, they all communicate a barren, dark feeling.
